Writing Coach

I’m considering getting a writing coach to help me bang through some of the obstacles in writing the draft.

Every time I take a writing class I expect a magic bullet to help me solve my writing dilemmas and it never does. Maybe I am like Dumbo expecting a feather to help me fly through my problems.

Who knows. But perhaps if I meet one on one with a coach, I can overcome at least some of the hurdles. At this point, I am confused about how much to delve into each character’s story and I am a little uncertain about the climax of the book.

I read such a crappy book this weekend about a New York City tutor like the main character in my book. It was so poorly written and the weak plot was so forced. Naturally, I want to avoid that. And I am hoping that this consultant will offer some guidance. We’ll see.
